The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital car park forms part of a larger Queensland Health site located in the inner-city suburb of Herston, approximately 2.2km north of the Brisbane CBD.

IPG led the design, construction and financing of the car park after being awarded a 30-year concession to operate the car park by Metro North Health. The original 5-level car park was constructed in 1998, with an additional 2 levels added in 2005. The facility comprises 1,400 marked car bays as well as motorcycle parking and bicycle rack areas.

The car park is directly adjacent to the main hospital entry and provides pedestrian access via airbridges to the hospital at levels 3 and 5. All entry and exit points have automated/swipe card gates and CCTV cameras are installed throughout the facility. LED lighting has been installed to improve the energy efficiency of the facility.
